Murphy Party of 5: July 2011

My little man has had such a big month...started preschool, turned 2 and now he got his 1st Big Boy haircut on Monday! To say he wasn't happy about it is an understatement! He cried almost the whole time and he really did not want to sit still. After a blue sucker, some breath mints and Daddy holding him down finally his haircut was done. We think he looks a little like Ryan Phillippe! What do you think?

I would like to give many many thanks to my dear friend Rachel...she rocked his 1st Big Boy Haircut! Love you Rach...sorry for the screaming kid and thanks for the diaper and wipes...you are the best!!

Such a Big Boy!

To say time flies by is an understatement…especially when it comes to my children growing up! Devin James Murphy turned 2 years old on July 16th and I can’t stop my children from getting bigger and bigger, so I will celebrate and hold onto these special moments!

What can I say about this little man…what can’t I say. To quote one of his many Aunties…”Seriously Addicting” he is. His smile can fill the room and his big almond shaped eyes with his long, long eyelashes just make me melt! I think he might be one of the prettiest little boys I have ever met and then to add to it he is sweet as candy! He just throws his meaty arms around my neck and gives me the biggest bear hug (sometimes they seem to last forever).

Not only does his smile fill a room, but his personality takes the room over. He might not have many words you can understand, but BELIEVE me he will let you know what he wants, likes and doesn’t like. And one of his most favorite things to do is sing and dance. .. sometimes there are days that I feel like that is all we do, but my children have soul moving through their bodies and they just feel the music and move!

The boy NEVER stops moving…I have to always be on my toes!! If he is quiet, that means he is probably getting into something…from trying to go outside, to trying to brush his teeth and playing in the water, to grabbing WHATEVER drink ( I really mean whatever drink) possible, to wrestling his sister or whatever ever boy cousin is around, to throwing a ball, to hitting something or someone with a bat, to dancing, to running (especially away from me)…the boy really seems to never stop moving! Just asking anyone who has been around for longer than 3 hours, he can wear a person out! But I sure do love it!

A special touch he adds to this family! One of a kind he is! And we are so very blessed God gave him to us! My big baby is 2 and I hope he had the best day! Happy 2^nd Birthday Devin boy! I love you with all my heart!
